Hope Rotary Club Holds Educator Of The Year Award Dinner

HOPE – The Hope Rotary Club held their annual Educator of the Year dinner Thursday, February 16th, at Hempstead Hall.

Hope Public Schools Superintendent Bobby Hart was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow designation, Music teacher Sandra Jones was named Elementary Teacher of the Year and Coach Susan Powers was named Secondary Teacher of the Year.

The night’s speaker was Johnny Key, State Education Commissioner, who spoke about the State’s programs to obtain more qualified teachers into the schools.
