Mrs. Mary L. Harrison

Mrs. Mary L. Harrison 98 of Prescott, Arkansas entered into rest on Monday, February 20, 2017 in Joshua, Texas. Mary was born December 31, 1918 in Chicota, Texas to Horace and Sammie Pierson Townsend. She moved to Prescott, Arkansas in 1938 where she met and married her husband, George M. Harrison who passed away in 1959.She worked 14 1/2 years for G.E. Telephone Company which went dial. She was also retired from Firestone. After her retirement she worked 9 years in both nursing homes in Prescott, Arkansas as a CNA. She was a member of Center Baptist Church in Chicota, Texas and she was also a member of Chapter 153 Eastern Star since April 1941.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, George M. Harrison and one son, George R. Harrison.

She is survived by one son, Blake Harrison of Joshua, Texas; three granddaughters, Khristi Shepherd (John) of Valiant, Oklahoma, Misty Mader (Jeff) of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Tiffany Hess (Jacob) of Joshua, Texas; one grandson,Joey Harrison (Amy) of Valiant, Oklahoma and eight great grandchildren who were the loves of her life, Heather Shepherd, Cole Mader, Kimberly Chamberlain, John Shepherd IV, Kelsey Mader, Shawn Gilbreath, Elizabeth Lawrence and DEan Harrison and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 between the hours of 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott Funeral Home, 201 West 2nd North, Prescott, Arkansas.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:00 am in DeAnn Cemetery, Prescott, Arkansas under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott.
