Weighted Average Report for Thursday Feb 22, 2018
Cattle Receipts: 338 Last week: 651 Last year: 979
Compared to last week: Feeder steers 5.00-15.00 lower. Feeder heifers under
500 lbs 5.00-10.00 lower, over 500 lbs steady. Slaughter cows steady. Slaughter
bulls 4.00-5.00 lower. Market was weaker on a light test due to inclement
weather.
Supply included 195 feeder calves, 70 yearlings, 10 replacement cows, 42
slaughter cows; 21 slaughter bulls. Feeder supply consisted of 45 percent
English and English crosses; 35 percent Exotic and Exotic crosses; 20 percent
Brahman and Brahman crosses. Feeder supply included 58 percent steers and
bulls; 42 percent heifers.
