Drexler to speak at meeting
HOPE – The Hempstead County Historical Society will be holding a meeting on Tuesday evening March 27, at the Presbyterian Church in Washington, at 7 p.m.
Everyone is welcome. The guest speaker for the evening will be Dr. Carl Drexler, Station Archeologist from Southern Arkansas University. He will speak on the history and impact of the archeological findings in Washington, Arkansas and how that has impacted the development of Historic Washington State Park and the understanding of the culture of southwest Arkansas in the 19th century. This event is part and celebration of Arkansas Archeological month.
The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Come and share your history with us.
