GALVESTER BUTLER, KNOWN TO MOST AS MRS. VESTER OR AUNT VESTER, WAS BORN ON DECEMBER 10, 1923 TO THE PROUD PARENTS OF THE LATE ISIAH STEUARD AND ELLA STEUARD. GALVESTER WAS THE SECOND CHILD OF THE UNION OF SIX CHILDREN. ONE BROTHERAND FOUR SISTERS PRECEEDED HER IN DEATH. LT. STEUARD, ALLIE MAE JAMES, GURTHY MAE FLIMONS, CHURISTINE MITCHELL, PALINSTINE SPERMAN, LEE G. STEUARD.

GALVESTER ALSO HAD SEVEN OTHER BROTHERS AND SISTERS FROM HER FATHERS FIRST MARRIAGE, WHO SHE ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH.

GALVESTER WAS A LOVING MOTHER OF TWELVE CHILDREN. TO WHO SHE PRECEDED IN DEATH. MAXINE TAYLOR AND CAROLYN ROYSTON. GEORGIA BLALOCK (LORENZO), ROBERT WILLIAMSON (JANIS), MARY ELLA MOTEN (STEPHAN), MARTHA BUTLER, WANDA PERKINS (LONNIE), MARCIA YOUNAS (WAQQR), BOBBIE ROYSTON STRINGER (ANTHONY), LORETTA ANDERSON (GARY), DORA GUDE, RALPH BUTLER (LISA).

GALVESTER WAS A FAITHFUL FRIEND TO MANY. SHE WORKED FOR MANY YEARS UNTIL SHE RETIRED AT THE AGE OF 62. GALVESTER WAS A TEACHER, A HOME MAKER, YOU COULD ALWAYS GO TO HER FOR ADVICE AND HELP WHEN NEEDED. EVERYONE WAS ALWAYS WELCOME TO HER HOME AND COULD ALWAYS RECEIVE A GOOD HOME COOKED MEAL. NO ONE WAS A STRANGER TO HER. AS A JEHOVAHS WITNESS SHE DID FAITHFUL SERVICES FROM DOOR TO DOOR. AND WHEN SHE WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO GO OUT IN FIELD SERVICES, SHE WITNESSED TO EVERY-ONE WHO CAME TO HER HOUSE. SHE ALSO LISTENED TO THE MEETING ON THE PHONE.

GALVESTER WAS LOVED BY ALL AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.

GALVESTER HAD 33 GRANDCHILDREN, 80 GREAT GRAND-CHILDREN, 35 GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, AND 1 AUNT, ELSIE STEWART VANHOOK (108 YEARS OLD). SHE LEAVES PASSING ON THE LEGACY TO HER CHILDREN OF LOVE AND PEACE, AND TO GET ALONG WITH EACH OTHER. SHE ALWAYS SAW GOOD IN EVERYONE.

Visitation for Mrs. Butler will be 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Cornish 1196 Highway 371 West Prescott, Arkansas

Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness in Hope, Arkansas. Burial will follow in Washington Hill Cemetery, Prescott, AR.
