Kiwanis pancake supper well attended

PANCAKE SUPPER 009PRESCOTT – As is typical, carryout orders ruled at the annual Kiwanis Club Pancake Supper Friday evening at Prescott Elementary School’s cafetorium.

Members of the club arrived early and started cooking the bacon and pancakes to fill the pre-orders, and continued working as patrons filtered in for the tasty breakfast treat. There was a steady stream of customers for the event, with most opting for carryout, though quite a few chose to stay and eat. Before going through the food line, though, most took time to check out the items the club had on display for its silent auction. The items ranged from a mounted deer head to gift certificates all over town.

The event was a success with the auction winners notified by phone later on. All proceeds from the event go toward the club’s community activities and scholarship.
