Plenty of sweet rides at car show
PRESCOTT – Car fans were treated to some sweet rolling iron Saturday asĀ part of the Prescott Lion’s Club’s second Annual Freedom Ride Car Show.
There was a festival-style atmosphere for the event as several vendors lined the front area of the Nevada County Courthouse, while the cars were parked primarily on Elm Street between Second and Third streets. The vendors offered a little bit of everything from clothing and soaps to snacks and fried pies. However, the main attraction was the cars.
The Lions Club members had the club’s mobile kitchen working on hot dogs and hamburgers, while other members were cooking pancakes, sausage and bacon for breakfast. The event was well attended with patrons taking advantage of breakfast both before and after scoping out the cars on display.
