Driving While Intoxicated
On April 16, at approximately 8:58 p.m., Deputy Orlando Dennis conducted a traffic stop on a red Pontiac G6 on Hempstead 333 approximately 50 yards north of Hempstead 22.
The driver Charles Jordan, 40, of Ozan was arrested for driving on DWI suspended driver’s license, no proof of insurance, and DWI. Jordan was turned over to the HCDF jail staff and given a court Date of June 4.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On April 16, at approximately 11 a.m., Kimberly Sutton, 42, of Hope was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the HCDF and is awaiting a first court appearance.
Theft of Property
On April 16, at approximately 12 p.m., HCSO received a call from the police dispatcher in reference to a theft already occurred, located at 4361 Highway 29 S, in Hempstead County.
Upon arrival Deputy met with Jason Moore who stated a few days ago he noticed his cross-cut saw was missing from his garage. He stated it is large and has a handle on each end. He stated it was hanging up on the wall inside garage.
Burglary
On April 16, at approximately 8 a.m., HCSO received a call from the police dispatcher in reference to a burglary already occurred, located at 2902 Highway 29N, in Hope, Hempstead County.
Upon arrival Deputy met with the manager of Estes Southwest Trucking. He stated when he got to work on the above date two Estes trailers were broken into. The manager stated it appeared at least three boxes of strap axle clutch (upper half) were taken from one of the trailers.
