Chamber banquet Thursday

PRESCOTTĀ  – This year’s Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce is a sold out affair.

With the theme “Farm Fresh”, the banquet is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, in the Prescott High School cafeteria. Jamie Hillery, executive director of the Chamber, said the event sold out, but three additional tables were added, and, these, too, sold out. Ko-Fields will be catering this year’s banquet and will have a menu featuring fried chicken and all the fixin’s.

There will be a live and silent auction for the banquet, so patrons need to arrive early to scope out the items up for sale and begin posting bids on those they can’t live without.

However, the banquet is more about honoring those in the community who have done an outstanding job for the community. Awards to be presented include: the Business Leadership Award; Organization of the Year; Hometown Hero; Farm Family of the Year; students and educators of the year from the Prescott and Nevada school districts; Citizen of the Year; and Treasure of Gold.

Dress for the event is business casual.
