Progress on the Hempstead County Library
HOPE- Back on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, the Hempstead County Library held their ground breaking celebration for their new building. The building is currently under construction directly behind the current library located at 500 South Elm Street in Hope.
The new parking lot has been made and the foundation for the new building has been poured. With the slab finished they are currently working on the framing for the new building. With Hope turning 200 years old on December 15, 2018, they are hoping to have the library open to the community during the celebration process.
