Task force working well together
HOPE – On March 15, the 8th North Task Force began operations in Hempstead and Nevada Counties under the guidance of 8th North Prosecuting Attorney Christi McQueen.
Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton, Nevada County Sheriff Danny Martin, Hope Police J.R. Wilson, and Prescott Police Chief Joseph Beavers, who have assigned officers from their agencies to work together to combat the sale, distribution, and transportation of illegal narcotics in the 8th North Judicial District have made an impact in the first 56 days of operations.
The 8th North agents have opened 25 cases, made 24 arrest, with 4 arrests pending. Agents have confiscated approximately $43,484.00 in U.S. Currency, Stolen firearms, Drug Paraphernalia to include Grow Lights, an Irrigation system to irrigate a Marijuana Grow Operation and a Surveillance system. The agents have seized Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Powder Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Pills and Liquid Codeine.

All agencies are working well together in this endeavor and will strive to continue to seek out the persons who chose to make, transport, and sell this poison to our citizens in the 8th Judicial District.
