Juvenile Arrested for Aggravated Assault

On May 18 at approximately 6:53 p.m., HCSO was dispatched to Hempstead 2 in reference to a physical fight at that address.

Deputies arrested a 17-year-old juvenile for aggravated assault, and domestic battery the juvenile was transported to White River County Juvenile Detention Center in Batesville.

Alarm Call

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Saturday May 12, HCSO was dispatched to Highway 195 South in reference to an alarm call.

Upon arrival Deputy made contact with the owner who stated she was the home when she came home she set the alarm off.

Fire

At approximately 8 p.m. on May 12, HCSO was dispatched to Interstate 30-Mile Marker 31 West bound in reference to a vehicle fire.

Upon arrival there appeared to be burning oil and plastic dropping out under the engine of a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Deputy made contact with the driver who stated she was heading west bound on I-30 with her cruise control set. She stated the vehicle began to slow down so she turned the cruise control off and attempted to accelerate but the vehicle wouldn’t. She stated she then pulled onto the shoulder of the interstate and someone stopped and told her her vehicle was on fire. She stated she got out and noticed there was something burning under the hood. Hope Fire department arrived and extinguished the fire.

Alarm Call

At approximately 7:04 p.m. on May 14, HCSO was dispatched to Highway 278 West in reference to an alarm call

Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with the home owner who stated he had recently had the alarm system installed and he forgot the alarm code when he got home this evening.

Domestic Battery 3rd Degree

On Monday, May 14, at approximately 6:30 a.m., HCSO received a call from the police dispatcher in reference to a disturbance, located on Hempstead 189 S, in Fulton, Hempstead County.

Upon investigation Deputies arrested 49-year-old Zaneta Thornburg of Fulton for Domestic Battery 3rd Degree. Zaneta was transported to the HCDF, she was turned over to the on duty jail staff for booking process. Zaneta will be held for 1st court appearance.

Felony Warrant for Breaking and Entering, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On Monday, May 14, at approximately 10 a.m., HCSO went to the residence of Karoline Patterson in reference to a felony warrant service, located at 1092 Hempstead 50, in Hempstead County, Arkansas. Patterson was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, theft of property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Karoline was transported to the HCDF where she was turned over to the on-duty jail staff for booking process. She will be held for 1st court appearance.

Theft

On Monday May 14, at about 10:30 A.M. HCSO was contacted by Bobby Oller, a supervisor for Cleve Batte Construction, at the Red River Bridge construction site near Fulton.

Oller said when Alford Walker arrived at work this morning, he discovered the GPS tracking equipment had been taken off the bulldozer he operates at the construction site. I spoke with Walker and he said when he parked the dozer on Friday, May 11, at 5 P.M., the equipment was intact.

The tracking head and cables were taken but the control screen inside the cab was not taken. Oller advised the stolen equipment could be operated with another control. None of the other construction equipment at the site had been tampered with or stolen. Incident is under investigation.
