Hempstead County Judge Haskell Morse accepted a symbolic check Thursday May 17th on the steps of the Hempstead County Courthouses. The county recently switched it’s telephone service to the company and the $40,000 is an estimate of what the county will save over the next four years compared what they have been paying to their past provider. The county recently contracted with Telogix for phone service. The deal provides about a $1,000 monthly savings and also includes a phone system. The new system will also be easily transferable to the new courthouse. Telogix also hosted reception for Courthouse employees Thursday.
