Facebook post leads to arrest

PRESCOTT – On May 16, Brittany Smith, of Arkadelphia, was arrested for terroristic threatening in the 2nd degree. Smith was held for first appearance and ordered to pay a $1,070 cash bond.

Smith was stopped, by a Prescott Police Department Patrol Officer, for disobeying a traffic control device and issued a written warning. After the traffic stop, Smith posted a video to Facebook Live, referencing the officer and threatening to beat his wife up. A warrant was issued for Smith’s arrest and Arkadelphia Police Department assisted in the apprehension.

The Prescott Police Department will not tolerate any behavior that harasses, threatens or attempts to intimidate any of its employees and/or spouses, whether verbally, electronically or by any other means.
