Brother Malvin Henry

Brother Malvin Henry was born Friday, December 31, 1937 to Pete Henry and Willie Mae Gulley.  He resided in Rosston, Arkansas and was married to Louise Henry andtogether they raised ten children.  He was employed at Hope Brickyard, and he also worked with pulpwood.  His interests included sitting on the porch, spending time with family, and going fishing.   Bro. Henry was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he became a Trustee. He departed this life at the age of 80 on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Hillcrest Care & Rehabilitation in Prescott, AR.


He was preceded in death by parents, Pete Henry and Willie Mae Gulley, wife, Louise Henry, grandson, Andre Block, brother, Fred Gulley, three sisters; Fannie Mae Young, Zannie Mae Gulley and Annie Mae Gulley-Parker.


Bro. Henry is survived by six daughters; Shirley Gulley, Doris (Alvin) Evans, Janice Henry, Carmel Henry, GeneiveHenry all of Rosston, AR and Etta (Terry) Evans of Houston, TX, four sons; Clifton Henry, Terry (Monica) Henry both of Rosston, AR, Ronnie Henry of Bluff City, AR and Kenneth Henry of Little Rock, AR, sisters; Opal Jean Ingram of Rosston, AR, Marie Gray of Texarkana, AR and Bobbie Fletcher of Dallas, TX, brothers; Charles Lee, James Edward Gulley both of Hope, AR and Lee Edward Gulley of Prescott, AR, 25 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relativesand friends.

Public visitation for Mr. Henry will be 11:00 am – 3:00 pm on Friday, June 22, 2018 @ M&H Memorial Chapel | 411 S. Walnut St., Hope, AR 71801.

Homegoing services will be Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 am | @ Oak Grove Baptist Church | 1530 Hwy AR 200 Rosston, AR 71858 | Rev. L.C. Gilliam, Pastor | Rev. Patrick Gulley, Eulogist | Interment: New Salem Cemetery, Rosston, AR.
