HOPE – The Hope High School Bobcat golf program gets underway at home July 30 with a revised schedule for 2018.
HHS Golf Coach Mike Godwin said the revised schedule for the season includes 18 holes in match play against Arkadelphia, Malvern and Nashville on Aug. 2 at DeGray Golf Course to be followed with a nine-hole match against the same opponents on Aug. 30, which will replace an 18-hole match against Magnolia.
An 18-hole match has been added to the schedule Sept. 6 against Texarkana/Trinity at the New Haven Golf Course replacing a previously-scheduled match against Arkadelphia, as well, Godwin said.
A Sept. 11 match against Magnolia has been moved from Hope to the Magnolia Country Club, he said.
District practice play has been moved back from Sept. 17 to Sept. 13 at DeGray, as the only other change to the schedule, Godwin said.
The remainder of the original season schedule is unchanged, he said.
HHS boys and girls match play begins with Arkadelphia and Taylor in 18-hole rounds July 30 at the Hope Country Club.
The Bobcat Charity Scramble is set for Aug. 4 at the Hope Country Club, followed by match play in 18 holes against DeQueen and Nashville on Aug. 14.
Both boys and girls district tournaments are set for Sept. 18 at DeGray.
Girls’ state tournament practice play is Sept. 24 at Big Sugar Golf Course, with the girl’s 4A State Golf Tournament to tee off there on Sept. 25.
Boys’ state tournament practice is Oct. 2 at Ridgepoint Country Club with the 4A State Golf Tournament set there Oct. 3.
