Washington farmer’s market open Saturday

WASHINGTON – The Old Washington Farmers’ Market will be open from 8am to Noon this Saturday, July 14. The market is located behind Washington City Hall across from Williams Tavern Restaurant in Washington, Arkansas. Come out and support your local farmers and get locally grown produce.

Vendors at the market include: Arnold Farm of DeAnn with tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, English cucumbers and okra; Silvey Farm of Bodcaw with green beans, kale, cucumbers, hot peppers, squash, jellies, baked goods and wooden spoons and elderberry whistles; Peggy Carrigan of Ozan with lemon blueberry, apple,  sweet potatoes, and banana nut bread, fried peach and apple pies; Aunt Fern from Ozan with her famous fried pies; Barry Produce of Washington with cucumbers, squash, jalapeños, painted flower pots and delicious homemade lemonade; and Erwin Soap from Crossroads will have their homemade soaps.  Come out early to get first picks of produce for it will go fast.
