By Submitted, 07/16/18 7:46 PM

The Hope School Board met Monday July 16th for their regular monthly meeting. The meeting opened with the Superintendent’s report. Mr. Bobby Hart gave details of a partnership between the district and Banner Hope and Juvenile Drug Court. The district will provide an instructor for a summer day camp for 9 students. Mr. Hart noted 22 students had been accepted in the Hope Collegiate and Professions Academy. Orientation is July 24th for this pilot program at the Johnny Rapert Library.
The board looked at anti-harrassment and grievance procedures. The statement and policies are in the new handbook.
The board looked at roofing bids. The district needs to reroof the High School annex, the business building, and the 2nd floor of the high school. The cost would be $376,000 and the bid accepted was from All Season Roofing. If they also added the Science and Technology Building there would be an additional cost of $83,000. The board did not vote to reroof the Science and Technology Building this year.
The board then looked at Arkansas School Board Policy updates and facilities rental requests
