July Dry But Better Than Some Years

The month of July is typically one of the driest in Hope with only 3.65 inches of rain expected on average. So far, through July 18th, Hope has received 1.12 inches of rainfall. Most of these have come from scattered, light showers. Rainfall is still up for the year. .The year-to-date average is 31.86 inches and so far Hope has received 33.5 inches which means the community is up 1.64 inches for the year. Temperatures have been typically hot for July. The highest reading came on July 17th with 100 degrees. 16 other days have seen highs in the 90’s and one day in July saw a high of only 89 degrees. Most of the lows have been in the 70’s but July 7th says a low of 63 degrees.
