The Hempstead County Courthouse Architectural Committee met Wednesday July 25th in County Judge Haskell Morse’s office. The committee has received five proposals from architects on renovating the Farmers Bank building downtown for use as the Hempstead County Courthouse. Chairman Ed Darling told the Quorum Court on July 26th that they hope to pare the five proposals down to two this week and get final proposals from these firms by the end of August.
