Politically Correct Watermelon Eating Contest

HOPE- Today at the 42nd Annual Hope Watermelon Festival the politically correct watermelon eating contest was host by UAHT. Elected officials from the federal, state, and local governments and those running for an office, who were present at the festival were invited to compete to see who could finish their slice of watermelon the quickest. As a last minute scratch from the event due to working within the community Sheriff, James Singleton and 7 consecutive years title holder withdrew from the competition, allowing for a new title holder for the 2018 year. This year Hempstead County Judge, Haskell Morse won the competition
