SWAAC showcasing Elvis

HOPE – Artist Terri Perkins of Hope is in the Elvis Memorabilia room at the Arts Station Galley at 200 E. Division St. The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council is sponsoring her exhibit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays through September 13.

Opening night for members and guests included Elvis-themed food including peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

A rock ‘n’ roll Elvis, complete with a motor to make him “rock out,” is the grand prize of a raffle by the Southwest Arkansas Arts Council until September 13. Tickets are $5 each or six for $20. Elvis was designed and constructed by Richard Read.
