Raines charged after truck-bus accident

HOPE – The driver of the 18-Wheeler involved in the accident with a Hope Public School bus on Monday, August 20, has been identified as 55-year-old James Raines of Texarkana, Arkansas.

Raines was transported to the HCDF where he was booked for DWI Drugs, Careless and Prohibited Driving, Driving while License Suspended and Leaving the scene of an accident.

He is currently being held in the Hempstead County Detention Center
