Mrs. Ruby Emily Baker Wicker, age 94 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Wicker was born January 26, 1924 to Jessie W. and Tempie Estelle Box Baker. She was a faithful member of Morris Baptist Church where she has served as Sunday School teacher, church clerk, and on the cemetery board and sang specials. She was a member of the Nevada County Extension Homemaker’s Club, the Nevada County Fair Board, worked in the Nevada County Court House in various offices, including the sheriff’s office and the county clerk’s office, and wrote the Caney News for the Nevada County Picayune.

Her hobbies were reading, sewing, crocheting, playing dominoes and watching old westerns on television.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Arthur Lee Wicker, one brother, Joe Baker, two sisters, Pauline Blevins and Edith May, her mother and father, Tempie Estelle and Jessie Baker.

She will be greatly missed by her survivors, Janice and Don Callicott of Prescott, Phyllis Stewart of Prescott and Amy Sweat of McCaskill, AR, six grandchildren: Stephen Cannon Callicott and Heather of Cherry Valley, AR, Robert Allen Callicott and M’Shay of Little Rock, AR, Cyril Brandon Stewart and Erika of Prescott, April Lynn Stewart Pennington and Jaymie of Little Rock, AR, Christopher David Sweat and Denise of McCaskill, AR and Emily Dee Sweat Smith and Brandon of Gilliam, AR, fourteen great-grandchildren: Ryan Stephen Callicott, Eli Henry Callicott, Daniel Cannon Callicott, Ciera Celeste Callicott, Carissa Joy Callicott, Cyril Benjamin Stewart, Sophie Grace Stewart, Jacob Avery Pennington, Ethan Andrew Pennington, Hayley Katherine Pennington, Sara Jayne Sweat, Anna Beth Sweat, Kallie Rae Smith and Braden Lee Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00pm on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home 1196 Hwy. 371 West Prescott.
