Pageant deadline nears

PRESCOTT – On September 15, the 2017 reigning Nevada County Fair Queens will pass the title on to the next Queen during competition. This year the date was set for the pageants to be held all in one day. The competition will start at 10:30 am for Infant-Baby-Tiny and Little Miss groups. The evening competition will start at 5:00 pm for the Petite-Young-PreTeen-Junior and Miss groups.

Age Caterogies

Infant– 0-11 months Petite –6-7 yrs Miss–17-21 yrs

Baby –12-23 months Young– 8-9 yrs

Tiny– 2-3 yrs PreTeen–10-12 yrs

Little — 4-5 yrs Junior — 13-16 yrs

Junior Miss and Miss Competitions include an interview process the time set for interview is 2:30 pm and the director will give out the location in the group meeting.

There as been some changes at the State level and this has made some changes at the county and district levels. The Little Miss winner will compete in the Southwest District Pageant on Sept. 25th at Hope. The newest change is any contestant competing at county level in Junior Miss and Miss is able to compete at the Southwest District Level, only the winner of the Junior Miss and Miss Nevada County will forward on to the Arkansas State Fair Pageant.
