PRESCOTT – Saturday, Oct. 13 will be a full day of family fun with the annual Fall Festival and Trade Days being held.

The day will kick off with a 5K run/walk and a kid’s fun run. Jamie Hillery, executive director of the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, recently told the Nevada County Quorum Court with a month to go until the festival, the Chamber has already exceeded the number of vendors it had last year for the festival, and more requests are coming in. All activities will center around the courthouse square.

The festival will also include the Miss and Mr. Fall Festival Pageants, Bunco, a youth archery contest, pet costume contest, pie eating contest, pumpkin treasure hunt, youth basketball shootout tournament, music on the festival stage, featuring the Night Hawk Band, bake sales, plenty of arts and crafts, food vendors, train rides, the pumpkin patch, inflatables and a host of other games and activities.

The deadline to register for the 5K is Oct. 1, with those who preregister getting t-shirts. Oct. 1 is also the deadline to enter the Bunco tourney, again those who register early get a t-shirt. Pageant entries are due by Oct. 5, as are applications for vendor booths. The cutest baby contest deadline isĀ  Oct. 10.
