PRESCOTT – Thursday night’s Livestock Premium Sale was enjoyed by everyone there.
The evening began with a meal consisting of brisket and pork roast, along with a plethora of sides and desserts. The meat was prepared by Chance Cummins, while members of the fair board made the sides and desserts.
From there youngsters hit the arena with their animals, with bidding being encouraged from inside the arena to get the price up. All winning bids, along with side money, will go to the children who raised the livestock to help offset the cost and assist them in getting ready for the district and state fairs. Courtland Mixon was presented a monogrammed wallet as this is his last year to be eligible to show. Mixon has been showing hogs most of his life.
