PRESCOTT – New regulations require high school students to complete 75 hours of community service before they can graduate.

This means seniors have to really work to get the time in before May so they can get their diploma. On Friday, students from Prescott High School were scattered across town doing community service work. Some stuffed envelopes and aired up basketballs at the Prescott-Nevada Chamber of Commerce, others worked with the Nevada County Master Gardeners to clean up around the Nevada County Courthouse. Still others sorted photos at the Nevada County Depot and Museum, and worked to help out at the Nevada County Library as well as at PHS.
