Ag Mechanics Competition At Southwest District Fair

The Southwest Arkansas District Fair is hosting an Ag Mechanics Competition. The contest and exhibit is located in the old horse barn between the art barn and the rodeo arena. According to Ag Teacher Mark Fullenwider from Columbia County, the competition has been going on about four years and the aim is to display high school ag mechanics and shop projects. Fullenwider says several ag teachers got together to start the competition after seeing such a competition in Texas. The display is also good for potential employers as they can see the type of skills some of the students have when thinking about future employees. Everyone is encouraged to stop by the exhibit at the fair.
