Hope Up On Rainfall For The Year…Fall Temps Recorded

Hope is up on rainfall for the year and for the month of September according to records at the Southwest Research and Extension Center near Hope. Hope received 7.06 inches for the month of September compared to the average of 3.8 inches. At the end of September, the year-to-date rainfall was 48.37 inches compared to the average of 38.7 inches. Hope is currently up on rainfall at 9.67 inches for the year.
Despite fall temperatures for part of September, the month still recorded nine days of temperatures over 90 degrees including a high of 95 degrees on September 19th. Hope reached as high as 89 degrees as late as September 26th. The lowest temperature recorded for the month was 55 degrees on September 28th. Temperatures fell into the 50’s three times in September, all during the last week of the month.
