Task force nabs two on drug charges

HOPE – On September 28, at approximately 8:45 am, agents with the 8th North Task Force consisting of officers from the Hope Police Department, Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department, Prescott Police Department, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department, and the FBI  conducted a narcotics search warrant on a residence located in the 200 block of North Andres Street in Hope, Arkansas.

While executing the search warrant, officers located Tyson Hamilton, 41, of Hope, and placed him under arrest for delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug premises, and proximity to certain facilities.   A second residence in the 200 block of North Andres Street in Hope, Arkansas was also searched and Davis Purifoy Jr., 42, of Hope was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance- methamphetamine, five counts, possession with purpose to deliver-methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug premises, and proximity to certain facilities.    Both Hamilton and Purifoy were transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
