Hope Weather For Early October

The first 9 days of October have been very consistent in Hope according to weather records compiled at the Southwest Research and Extension Center. The first 9 days of the month posted no official rainfall, highs in the 80’s, and lows in the 60’s. Three of those days had highs at 89 degrees with one day at 88. Lows ranged from 61 to 69. These temperatures are not expected much longer as cooler weather is expected with lows dipping into the upper 40”s.
As of 7am October 9th, there was no rainfall for October although downtown Hope received showers that afternoon. Year to date rainfall is 48.37 inches compared to a normal reading of 43.96 inches. Rainfall was up for the year 5.28 inches prior to the rain received on Tuesday afternoon
