Rain doesn’t slow festival
PRESCOTT – In spite of Saturday’s rain, the annual Fall Festival went off without a hitch.
Vendors showed up early and worked to get their booths up and ready by 9 a.m., the official start of the festival. Runners met behind the courthouse to stretch and make sure their paperwork was in order. The 5K started at 8 a.m., with the first finisher arriving about 20 minutes later. The temperature was perfect for the run, though the course was wet.
Patrons trickled in, checking out the different booths and seeing what was available they just couldn’t live without. All in all, the festival was a success, even with the periodic rainfall.
