New Newspaper Growing

The Hope-Prescott News, a new newspaper headquartered in Hope is growing. The paper recently put out it’s fourth issue and this was the first 12 page issue. The Hope-Prescott News is published by Wendell Hoover and Mark Keith. Both felt like they should do something with the Hope Star and Nevada County Picayune suspended publication. After lining up a printer, a layout person, and a circulation staffer they began publication on October 4th. After an initial run of 1,000 papers the new publication is currently printing 1,500 each week and that number is suspected to grow. The Hope-Prescott News is offered on news stands for free. An annual subscription via mail is $50 per year. The newspaper office is located at 104 South Main in the A & J Furniture Store. The office is open 1pm to 5pm daily. Anyone interested in advertising may contact Wendell Hoover at 703-9042 or Mark Keith at 826-6737. The Hope-Prescott News will also be happy to place newspapers in any business or public place. Papers are currently distributed from Willisville to Fulton.
