Joe Frank Bobo age 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Hot Springs. He was born December 14, 1929 to Tom Briant Sr. and Bertha Clark Bobo in Hope, Arkansas.

Mr. Bobo retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 30 years of service installing. Joe was an avid outdoorsman. Joe was a member of The Unity Baptist Church of Hope. He enjoyed all types of hunting in Southwest Arkansas. Joe lived on Lake Hamilton where he fished or checked trot lines daily for over 35 years. Joe loved his family and friends and gave all that stopped in to visit a boat ride or a waterskiing lesson followed by a treat of fried fish and fries on his back porch from his most recent catch.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steven Bobo; three brothers, Tom “Tinker” Bobo, Harold Logan Bobo, Eugene Clark Bobo.

He is survived by one daughter, Shelia Peters of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two brothers, Guy Manning Bobo of Hope, Arkansas and Reverend Kenneth Maynard Bobo of Hope, Arkansas; one sister, Joyce June Luker of Hope, Arkansas; his wife, Alma Dean Bobo of Longview, Texas; three grandchildren, Lindsay Bobo Ingram, Patrick Bobo and Steva Bobo Finch; seven great grandchildren all of Oklahoma, eighteen nieces and nephews; his hunting partner and best friend for over 40 years, John Hopkins of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held 6pm-8pm Friday, November 2, 2018 at HERNDON-FUQUA FUNERAL HOME of Hope, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be 2pm Saturday, November 3, 2018 at HERNDON-FUQUA FUNERAL HOME. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery.  Officiating pastors will be Brother Glen Tropp, Brother Jay Pollan and Reverend Kenneth Bobo. Services under the direction of HERNDON-FUQUA FUNERAL HOME of Hope, Arkansas.
