PRESCOTT – For the past few years, the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce has been hosting a holiday business expo at the Potlatch Building at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

This year, things have changed. The event is being moved to the Stokes Center at Central Baptist Church and will be a two-night affair showcasing 32 businesses. Each business will have a booth set up to display their wares. First dibs on booths went to businesses that were members of the Chamber as a major part of the Chamber’s focus is to help promote local business.

According to Jamie Hillery, Chamber director, there will pretty much be something for everyone. The items to be displayed, she said, will range from cutlery to personal beauty products with quite a bit in between. The event is scheduled for Nov. 8-9 from 5-7:30 p.m. Hillery said those planning to attend the first round of the high school playoffs, which will see the Curley Wolves at home, can drop by early before going to the game.

Businesses can decorate their booths as they see fit, but, she said, must have representatives there both nights.
