Time to think about shipping gifts

PRESCOTT/HOPE -Christmas will be here in a flash.
It’s not too early to start thinking about gift giving, but also about how to make sure those gifts arrive to out-of-town friends and family in a timely manner.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers free priority mail boxes or prepaid priority mail boxes delivered to the home with the motto: ‘If it fits, it ships.’ The boxes can be ordered online at uses.com/workshop.
Or, for those who are unable to get to the post office for some reason, postage can be paid for online at home. With the “click and ship” tool, people can not only pay for their postage online, but also print a shipping label and schedule free package pickups.
Not only this, but those shipping packages can say up to date with informed delivery notifications. Using a smart phone or computer, images of letter-sized mail can be previewed as can packages arriving soon. The site for this service, according to the USPS, is uses.com/dailytracking, where customers will be given their own unique code to track packages with.
However, the most important thing to remember is when to ship packages. For first class delivery and priority mail service, packages need to be mailed no later than Dec. 20. For priority mail express service, the deadline is Dec. 22 so the packages can arrive by Christmas.
