A personal message from Danielle Miller:

Thank you all so much for coming out to support my family on Friday. From the dinner sales to all of the donations, I wish I could have thanked you all individually. I was absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love. What you’ve all provided was another piece of hope for this journey. This year has been a difficult one for my family. In addition to my kidney failure, earlier this year I totaled my car. I lost my bright eyed, college bound 17-year-old cousin in a car accident, and my husband had a cancer scare. It has been a whirlwind and filled with blessings at the same time. I’ve been blessed with family and friends and a community that have been with me every step of the way. People who have helped me financially and spiritually and have not once left me to feel alone in this fight. I am so thankful to all of you. Special thanks to Glenn Collums, Josh Powell, Keith Sullivan, and Michael Braddock for being here bright and early on Friday morning to get the smokers started and spending their days off cooking for us. Also, thanks to the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department and the Hope Police Department for sponsoring this event and providing a facility. Thank you to all who donated their time and made delicious desserts. Special thanks also go to my TRIBE. Amber Collums, Jodie Fairchild (and Jaime Fairchild), Stephen Patton, Savannah Plyler, and Heidi Marshall. We’ve been friends for more than two decades. We are family that chose each other. We’ve been through high school, love and loss, weddings and babies. I am so very thankful that in every step of life I’ve had these beautiful people to stand by me. They each came out Friday to be there for me. Jodie and Jamie came down from Little Rock and handled the drive through, Amber planned this event, Savannah set up the love fund through the First National Bank of Tom Bean and collected donations, and Stephen and Heidi ran back and forth and helped as needed. My tribe has backed me with love and support mentally, emotionally, and financially. I can’t imagine life without them.
