PRESCOTT – Thanksgiving is this Thursday, and what’s Thanksgiving without plenty of good food and fellowship.
The following is a recipe from Nevada County Treasurer Susie Key for “Easy Raisin Pie”.
EASY RAISIN PIE
1 CUP RAISINS
1 CUP SUGAR
2 TABLESPOONS FLOUR
1/2 STICK BUTTER
1 UNBAKED PIE CRUST
COOK RAISINS UNTIL TENDER IN ABOUT 1 TO 1 1/2 CUPS WATER. SIFT FLOUR AND SUGAR TOGETHER AND ADD TO RAISINS. COOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL BOILING. ADD BUTTER AND STIR CONSTANTLY. POUR INTO UNBAKED PIE SHELL, BAKE AT 425  FOR 30 TO 40 MINUTES.
