Gravel spread in alley

PRESCOTT – Crews from the Prescott Street Department worked to spread gravel in the alley behind City Hall and the Nevada County Library Monday afternoon.

Street Department employees brought a couple of dump truck loads of gravel to be spread in the alley, which should make parking better for those who use it. From start to finish the project took about three hours. Local businessman Jimmy Bateman assisted by bringing his tractor to help spread the gravel as the city’s equipment is too tall for the power lines in the alley.
