PRESCOTT – On January 1, White Oak Lake State Park hosted their annual “First Day Hike.” This event is geared towards connecting the citizens of Arkansas in our surrounding communities to their locals state parks. Twenty two people participated this year with a guided 1.5 mile hike through the pinewood forest of the park and after, enjoyed some Dutch Oven Taco Soup prepared the old fashion way. This is always a great time for all. Resolutions being made, friendships being formed on the trail, and people out taking advantage of everything their Arkansas State Parks has to offer. 2019 is shaping up to be a great year for the park and we are very excited for the things to come!”
