William Cook
Mr. William “Sterling” Cook, age 63 of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 2, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Dallas, Texas, to James and Sandra Lindsey Cook Sr. He was a United States Navy veteran serving in Vietnam for a short time. He was auto mechanic by trade and also skilled in various other areas such as carpentry and dry wall considered a “Jack” of all trades and of Baptist faith. Sterling loved life and traveled extensively while in the Nave and his work. He was able to reconnect with his family later in life and permanently settling down with his brother and sister-in-law in Prescott Arkansas, enjoying his life surrounded by his family and friends displaying his warm and generous heart. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Sterling Dewayne “Bubba” Cook and brother Floyd Payne.
Survivors include; four sons, Christopher Dewayne Cook, Michael Wayne Cook, William S Cook Jr, Mathew Allen Cook, two daughters, Stephanie Lee Cook, Stephanie Leann Cook, three brothers, James M Cook Jr of Red Oak Texas, Kevin Cook of Nashville Tennessee, Russell Cook of Nashville Tennessee, three sisters, Debbie Cowart of Red Oak Texas, Nikki Tolliver of Knoxville, Tennessee, Karen Lynn Cook of Memphis Tennessee, sister-in-law Debra Payne of Prescott, Arkansas, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
No family visitation is planned.
