Quartet arrested by HPD

HOPE – On January 19, at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers of the Hope Police Department arrested  Deonte Johnson, 24, of Hope for residential burglary, aggravated assault on family member, domestic battery third degree, and interference with emergency communications first degree. The arrest occurred in the 100 block of East 14th Street in Hope, and was the result of an investigation into an incident that occurred on January 15, in the 1000 block of South Ferguson Street in Hope.  Johnson was transported to HCDF and held for first appearance.

On January 20, , at approximately 5 a.m., officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Shanita L. Smith, 46, of Hope, for aggravated assault on a family member, driving while intoxicated, and refusal to submit following an incident that occurred in the 1700 block of North Allen Street in Hope,. Smith was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a fir^st appearance.

On January 20 , at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Shawn Fulks, 34, of Hope for residential burglary following an altercation that occurred in the 1700 block of West 5^th Street, in Hope. Fulks was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility to await a first appearance.

On January 23, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Larry D. Weston, 61, of Hope, during a traffic stops for possession of firearms by certain persons.  Weston was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
