PRESCOTT – For those earning less than $55,000 for individuals and families in 2018, free tax help is available.

The Central Arkansas Development Council will have a VITA volunteer at the Nevada County Library to help prepare tax returns for individuals and families. These returns will be prepared and e-filed by IRS-certified volunteers.

Those taking advantage of this need to bring a valid photo ID, their W-2 and/or 1099, 1095A or other Marketplace insurance forms, Social Security cards for all being claimed on the return, last year’s taxes and a check for routing and account numbers so refunds can be made via direct deposit.

Volunteers will be at the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Tuesday schedule is: Feb. 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, and April 2 and 9. The Thursday schedule will be: Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4 and 11.
