Nevada students inducted into NHS

ROSSTON – It was a special night for more than 50 Nevada students Thursday as they were inducted into the National Honor Society.

The induction ceremony took place in the school gym prior to the January meeting of the Nevada School Board. The home side stands were filled with parents, friends and relatives on hand to witness the students, in grades 8-12, joining the NHS.

NHS President Bralon Glover acted as master of ceremonies, while Na’tavious Robinson, vice president, spoke about scholarship. Jaden Marsh, secretary, talked about service, while Bryson Rhodes, treasurer, spoke on leadership. Ethan Burns, a member of the National Junior Honor Society, talked about character, the final of the four planks of the NHS. Burns is the president of the NJHS, with Hannah Miller the vice president, Karsen Moss the secretary and JaNiya Harper the treasurer.
