HHS FBLA qualifies for state

HOPE – Hope High School Future Business Leaders of America team members qualified for state competition at the recent FBLA conference here.
Thirteen HHS students participated in the Feb. 6 conference on the Hope campus of the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. All nine students qualified to compete at the Arkansas FBLA Leadership Conference in Little Rock on April 1-2, according to HHS business teacher Matha Wake, FBLA advisor.
Qualification placements were based upon online question and answer competition, and in the case of Sports Entertainment/Management and Marketing contests were conducted online.
Qualifiers from HHS included: Jordyn Simington, database design/application, second place; Alicia White, spreadsheet, fourth place; Brandon Maxfield, sports entertainment/management, fourth place; Edith Mendoza, sports entertainment/management, fourth place; Jocelyn Castro, introduction to parliamentary procedure, fifth place; Natzari Felipe, network concepts, fifth place; Yajahira Dominguez, marketing, fifth place; Oswaldo Bello, marketing, fifth place; and, Jessica Moreno, business law, fifth place.
Also, Joanna Archiga, Accounting I, sixth place; Kaylee Johnson, business communication, sixth place; Bianca Juarez, introduction to business procedures, sixth place; and Melanie Lara, securities and investments, sixth place.
