Hope Lions Hear From Battles And Pinner

The Hope Lions heard from Adam Pinner and Corwin Battles of the Arkansas State Police on Monday February 11th. The pair talked about their investigations into child pornography and the problems of young people sending sexually suggestive material via social media. The program also detailed how predators can glean material from the cell phones of minors and contact them under the pretense of being one of their peers. These people can sometime coerce young people to send suggestive photos and sometimes lure them into illicit relationships. Pinner and Battles encouraged parents to take control of their children’s cellphone habits. They also shared the cyber tip line number of 800-843-5678 for parents to call if they think someone has contacted their children online and are seeking inappropriate contact or material.
