HPD nabs seven

On February 2, at approximately 3pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested David Brown, 35, of Waldo, AR and charged him with residential burglary.  The arrest occurred in the 800 block of Nancy Street in Hope.  Brown was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On February 3, at approximately 8pm, the Hope Police Department charged Katerria Smith, 26, of Waldo, Ar with Theft of Property (Auto).  Smith was taken into custody by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department and later transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where she was held for a first appearance.

On February 4, at approximately 2am, Dalvin Jones, 25, of McNeil, Ar. was arrested and charged with felony domestic battery 3rd degree following an altercation with a person who is pregnant in the area of 1400 block of North Spruce Street in Hope.  Mr. Jones was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On February 4, at approximately 8am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Joekwevious Marshall, 21, of Hope, for felony domestic battery 3rd degree.   The arrest was the result of an altercation with a person who is pregnant that occurred in the 900 block of East 2nd Street of Hope. Mr. Marshall was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On February 6, at approximately 9am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Christina Davis, 37, of Hope, Ar with a warrant for Forgery in the second degree. The original incident occurred in June 2018 in Hope. Davis was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On February 8, at approximately 10am, officers of the Hope Police Department along with agents of the 8th North Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence located in the 700 block of Mack Street in Hope, Arkansas.  Herbert H. Parmer, 50, of Hope was arrested and charged with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance near certain facilities, maintaining a drug premises and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Parmer was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On February 10, at approximately 6pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Robert Gaines, 36, of Hope for theft of property, possession of controlled substance marijuana, and furnishing prohibited articles. Gaines was initially arrested for shoplifting from a business located in the 2400 block of North Hervey, but was later charged with furnishing prohibited articles and possession of marijuana after he was taken into the Hempstead County Detention Facility.  He was held for a first court appearance.
