SHHS rodeo coming up

SPRING HILL – It’s almost time for the 20th Annual Spring Hill High School FFA Rodeo.

This year’s rodeo is set for March 7-9, starting at 7:30 each night at the Hope Fair Park Coliseum. Admission is $5 per person.

The rodeo opens Thursday with the open ranch rodeo. Friday will be highlighted by the Spring Hill FFA Alumni Rodeo, which will feature events such as: chute dogging, speed, wild cow milking, poles, team roping, goat ribbon pull, bull riding, barrels, break away and sheep dressing.

FFA students will take to the arena Saturday where they will compete in: barrels, break away roping, chute dogging, ribbon roping, poles, steer riding, calf haltering, JR Bulls, goat tying, barrel pickup, tie down roping, JR Broncs and a wild steer catch and release.

In addition, there will be mutton bustin’ events Friday and Saturday nights for children six and under. Those interested in competing can sign up at the door.

There will also be a silent auction of projects students made in the agriculture class shop.
