Helen Jackson

Mrs. Helen Marie Jackson was called home on February 7, 2019. She was the daughter of Mr. Robert Colbert of Little Rock, AR and Mrs. Georgie Helen Blalock of Prescott, AR. Helen was the oldest of the siblings, Lorenza Blalock (Shelia) of Blevins, AR, Isaiah Blalock of Prescott, Robert Colbert of Little Rock, AR, Sharon Bearden of Prescott, April Blalock of Texarkana, AR, her niece/sister Joyce Blalock of Nashville, AR. 

Helen left to cherish her memory two sons Andrew Jackson of Alameda County, Calif, Robert Sim (Toya) of Antioch Calif., a daughter Tanya Jackson of Antioch, Calif.  Helen had thirteen grandchildren, two of which she lived with; Jafari Jackson and Tamai Jackson, Uncles: Robert Williamson (Janis) of San Francisco, John Colbert, William Colbert (Mary) of Prescott, AR and Ralph Butler (Lisa) of Stockton, Calif., Aunts: Wanda Perkins of Vacaville, Calif., Mary Moten (Steve) of Killeen, TX, Marcia Cofie of Antioch, CA Bobbie Royston of Pittsburg, CA Loretta Anderson (Gary) Miami, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Helen did a lot in the short time she was here on earth, she wrote several poems, one which was turn into a song called “Country Woman” dedicated to her Mom.  Helen said her father inspired her because he use to write for Reader’s Digest. She also wrote several books, one was published called “Trick Without Force”.  She worked as a security guard and did seasonal work at the small world park in Pittsburg, California as a recreational guide. She stopped writing for a while, during that time she became a Jehovah Witness. She was the kind of person to live her life to the fullest.
